![]() Oswald is very unhappy about all the consequences this comes with especially not being able to be with Regina. Alving tells Oswald the truth about his father. Engstrand will take the blame of the fire only if Pastor Manders supports his Sailor's Home with the funds of the Alving Estate. The climax of the play is when the orphanage gets burned down.The falling action begins when Pastor Manders becomes terrified with the scandal, but finds out that Mr. Alving tells them it is not possible because they are brother and sister. ![]() He also intends to marry Regina before Mrs. He has the same illness of his father, syphilis, and has come home to die. Oswald also has some secrets he is hiding from his mother. Alving tells Pastor Manders the truth about her husband, but she still does not want Oswald to know. Oswald has been traveling all around Europe ever since he was young. She keeps bothering him about finding her a position somewhere in high society. Pastor Manders comes in and talks to Regina about helping her father out. ![]() Engstrand to leave her alone and so he does. The raising action begins when Regina just wants Mr. Engstrand is trying to convince his "supposed" daughter, Regina, to come work for him at the sailor's establishment.
